  1. I was unable to comment on your German post. I don't know if it came clear from my post that, despite I blog from Perth I live in Braunschweig, Germany.
My paternal Grandfather was the only watchmaker in town and worked as that during WWII, my maternal family fled from Koenigsberg, Prussia, now Kaliningrad, Russia. They were not German (they nearly ended up on the refugee-ship Gustloff that was sank by the Russians).
I am only half-German and none of my family was a Nazi.
Yet, at age 14 I had to say in public: "I am sorry for what I did to the Jewish people".
My parents were kids, what have I done???
I do fail to understand why people go at Jewish people-they quietly live their lifes and yet.... we do have Reichsbuerger in Germany!!! Still today!!!
It makes me so sad and angry. The Muslims in Germany want the Kalifat. Not all of them, yet.... Some people always freak out and it is, in my opinion, not the Jewish population.

To end on a lighter note: love this post!

    1. Iris, we've both read and posted on each other's blogs several times since this, but I just discovered it today. So many sad conflicts between politics and religion!
