SAVING LIFE ON EARTH
The 200,000 richest people in the world don’t need the rest of us 7.3 billion. They don’t want viable democracies. They don’t need too many educated, healthy, empowered people. They already control the money supply, corporations, the economy, the military, and the media. They can manage global society through autocratic rule of nation states and their masters, global corporations. And for political allies they are emboldening neo Nazis, racists, and fundamentalists.
With climate chaos exploding around the planet, the superrich will increasingly need to control the masses who will be fleeing rising waters and megastorms and railing against collapsed economies and unresponsive governments.
How do we the people right the ship of life? How do we hold the superrich accountable? How do we create caring communities at the local level? How do we forge a new common sense and new legal requirements? And how do we take care of ourselves in this moment of chaos?
Can we the people wake up the superrich to their own humanity, empathy, and compassion? Or is it not possible? Or is there enough time?
In any case, we must use the transformative tools of searing truth, mighty justice, and fierce love, as we empower the movement of movements to save nothing short of life on Earth by creating a compassionate civilization.
